My name is Simone de Jong and I've stitched my whole life, more or less. When I became a "stay-at-home-mom" in 2002 I began to stitch more and more and also start quilting in 2006. I adore the wonderful quilting fabrics, but my heart is with cross stitching and I love to combine those two passions.
Since the beginning of 2011 I started to design cross stitch patterns. Mostly inspired by antique Sampler motifs and often finished with a pretty antique-looking fabric. No bright colors and modern designs here. But warm, old looking colors and linen so much the more.
Some people are wondering where the name "Soed Idee" comes from. It's simple; My son couldn't pronounce the G when he was young and said an S instead. So he found all kinds of things a "Soed Idee" (good idea). When I started a website for personal use, I chose the domain www.soedidee.nl. Not knowing that it eventually will grow in to a real "company"...
